I'm supporting and caring for aging parents. In the last couple of years, I have moved them in with me. While I don't have any children, I often feel as if I am chasing after teenagers. Digits and Mini Chow take the car, they stay out late, they destroy my house, and give me lip.
My life with them is utter chaos -- and isolating. Most of my friends and peers are raising children. None of them have made caring for a parents a full time job.
But I am grateful--Grateful to have been raised by them, grateful to have them with me.
So this blog...on the advice of my friend Judi (Judi, if you're reading this, I miss you terribly and I'm going to kick your ass if we don't get share a pitcher or three of Blue Moon soon), I'm going to start documenting the adventures of Digits and Mini Chow. And share a little bit of my life with them.
